The story.....
Pens and Things started out as nothing more than a personal hobby. After a few years doing "flat work" woodworking, I was intrigued by the magnificent creations some of my woodworking friends were creating on their lathes.
The skinny of things - I purchased a lathe and haven't looked back since!
First came the pens - LOTS of pens, then bottle stoppers, razors, shave sets, key chains, duck calls, deer grunts, etc, etc, etc.... Wood turning is addictive and it seems that working on one new thing only leads to another. Did I mention bowls, platters, self cast pens....? The list of things is literally endless.
There are only so many people I have to gift my items to, so craft shows and word-of-mouth sales became essential. I would continue making pens even if I never sold another - but what can one guy do with a thousand pens?
